Wales v Scotland

Unbelievably, our last trip to Cardiff hasn’t put some of us off returning next month for another meaningless friendly. It’s a chance to overturn the humiliation of 2005, get the orange hose on again, and get some Brains Skull Attack down our necks.

Big Ben is making this his first away trip, along with Pizza Hun, the Iron Chancellor and Scooter Boy.

And lest anyone forget, what’s the best thing about Wales? Goldie Lookin’ Chain, of course.

I’ve been doing a bit of research for next week’s trip, and thought it would be a good idea to post links on here for everyone else.

A good overview of what delights Georgia has in store for us:
Gridskipper, the Urban Travel Guide

All you need to know about Georgia. I think I remember The Wallace saying he’s got the book. This description says it all though: “A cultural nexus with food to dream about”
Georgia Travel Information | Lonely Planet Destination Guide

Another guide to Tbilisi, this one is written by locals though.

Georgia on my mind again!

It’s only a couple of weeks until Eck’s first game in charge of the national team, and the plans are taking shape for our next immersion in Glesga banter. The standard components will all be there – early train with a cairry-oot if we can smuggle it past the Scotrail beaks, square sausage rolls at the Corona, a visit to the chipper on Battlefield Road, standing about in a park drinking whisky, and 90 minutes of champagne football. All washed down with lashings and lashings of broon beer!

KELTA appears to have grown in numbers, as we will again be accompanied by some extras. Ill Bill, Barry Tits, Boaby Russell, Steven The Undertaker, Stevie Baldie and Michael MacLeod will swell our numbers to ten, as four of our full members (SB, PC, TW and PH) are making the trip.

Bring on the unpronounceables!!!

Another good turnout is expected for the trip to Tbilisi for the last away trip of the Euro 2008 qualifying campaign. Although I’m pretty sure Georgia is actually in Asia. Work that one out.

Luxury accommodation has been secured within walking distance of the Georgian sulphur baths, for a six-day visit to the other side of the Black Sea.

Plans are well advanced for our trip to Paris later this year. It’s looking like a bumper turnout, with all the regulars due to attend plus burds, faithers and other miscellaneous hingers-on. By the time that match comes round qualification could be already assured!
